EHRL is a band that's very near and dear to me. Their unique music that I struggle to categorize struck a chord with me like few bands ever have. Hollow Be My Name in particular got me through some incredibly rough times. I haven't spun Bānhūs yet, but I can finally afford to buy music and this was a must-have.
Drifting further into the cloudy, often confusing territory of post-rock this recording may take a few listens to fully appreciate. The listener may need to be patient, though, as is generally the case with post-rock. To be enjoyed when in a more reflective or contemplative mood rather than wanting to aggressively rock out.

Perth’s adored post-hardcore quintet Eleventh He Reaches London unveil third album. Bānhūs is an Old English word meaning ‘body’, literally translating as ‘bone-house’. The album’s title and lyrical themes of existence, misery and death are captured in sonic form across seven songs of despair that feature both Eleventh’s most introspective material to date, and its hardest-hitting. Bānhūs will be a gift to eager old fans, and a fascinating ride for unwitting new ones.
